Erik Hedlund has been an integral part of the team as Head of Strategy & Business Development at Eton since August 2016, contributing to the brand’s transformation in anticipation of its 100-year anniversary. Under his collaborative influence, Eton has redefined its business and digital strategies in response to evolving customer behaviors and market growth opportunities. His tenure is marked by pivotal developments, including significant market growth, particularly in the US, a shift towards digital sales models, and the adoption of Direct-to-Consumer channels focusing on online engagement. Erik has also helped guide Eton through a digital operations overhaul, IT architecture modernization, warehouse automation, and the brand’s transition from family to private equity ownership, alongside managing the impact of Covid-19 on demand.
Before joining Eton, Erik engaged with multiple corporate strategy projects at McKinsey & Company from 2011 to 2016. His work mainly focused on the advanced industries sector, including automotive and heavy equipment, driving growth, and improving profitability.
Parallel to his corporate roles, Erik’s entrepreneurial spirit has flourished through his engagement with various startups, both as a founder and in advisory and board capacities.
Erik’s career is underscored by his dedication as a problem solver and strategist, with a profound passion for data and analysis. He is consistently focused on developing growth strategies and is committed to brand and organizational transformation.
